Nemdeihvung’s early life was shaped by both love and hardship. She lived with her parents and younger sister in Songtal until 2017, when her mother was diagnosed with cancer. That same year, the family moved to Lamka in search of better opportunities. Tragically, her mother passed away in 2018, leaving Nemdeihvung and her sister in the care of their father, whose work often required him to be away from home for long periods.
In 2020, with the support of Sister Muani and Lainat Ministry, Nemdeihvung and her sister joined the Lainat sponsorship program. At Lainat Home, Nemdeihvung found stability, care, and guidance. She thrived academically, eventually topping her class, and began rebuilding her life with renewed hope and confidence.
After completing her Class 12 board examinations in 2023, Nemdeihvung chose to pursue practical life skills training in beautician studies, specializing in hairdressing and styling. She completed a four-month professional course at Infinity Salon and later joined N&K Salon as an intern.
Nemdeihvung continues to work at the salon as a full-time role. Through her work, she is able to support herself and contribute to her family.
Nemdeihvung’s journey reflects resilience and the life-changing impact of support and opportunity. With guidance and encouragement, she has overcome loss, pursued her skills, and is now moving forward with hope.
